OUR APPROACH
Engaging our Future Generation
At the Light Foundation, we understand the need to engage our future generation, to empower young people by inculcating strong critical-thinking and reasoning skills, helping them navigate complex ideas with confidence and clarity. Through authentic educational resources and expert guidance, we support youth in developing the intellectual tools they need to question, analyse, and understand the world around them.
Our programmes not only build knowledge—they also focus on protecting young people from harm, misinformation, exploitation, and harmful narratives. By creating safe, supportive spaces for learning and dialogue, we equip youth with the resilience to identify and recognise risks, challenge harmful ideologies, and make informed, responsible choices.

WHAT WE OFFER
How the Programme Works
Each session is built around your questions. There’s no fixed script. Attendees submit or ask questions live, and our panel engages with them directly and honestly.

OUR VISION
A Generation Under Pressure
We live in a moment when young Muslims in particular are navigating enormous pressures online radicalisation, mainstream media narratives, questions of belonging, and the aftermath of events like the summer 2024 riots.
Equipping young people to respond to these pressures with confidence, knowledge, and empathy is not just good youth work. It’s an essential social infrastructure.
“What struck me most was the strong sense of community and the concept of shared support, particularly for the young people who are so important to our future.”
Angie Ridgwell — former Chief Executive, Lancashire County Council
